Forbidden fruit episode 45
The science teacher in Ewura Adwoa's class disclosed to them, what had happened to their friend. Everyone in the class felt sorry for the young lady except the three girls who thought they owned the world. Betty, Antoinette and Jasmine cared less about what happened to Ewura Adwoa because they felt she wasn't rich enough to have their sympathy.
Ebenezer felt sorry for Ewura Adwoa. He decided to speak to his friend's about her plight so they could stop what they were doing to her and also delete the video from their phones. He met Frank and Star Boy during lunch and made it known to them what had happened to Ewura Adwoa. He advised them to forget about what they were doing to her and delete the video. Frank and Star Boy disagreed with him.
"Ebenezer, don't be naive and dumb. What makes you think she is actually sick as she is making everyone believe? It's a strategy she wants to use for us to have mercy on her. Man just ignore that girl" Frank tried to make Ebenezer understand that Ewura Adwoa wasn't really sick
"Man, Frank is right. That girl is feigning the sickness. She has rather angered me instead of having compassion on her. Just forget her. She just want to get a break from us. She can't stay in the sick bay forever. Let's give her a month of freedom. My target now is her Lilly friend. We have to do the same thing to her since she tried to be a stumbling block when you were making the move" Star Boy added his voice.
In the long run, Ebenezer was convinced by his friends. They agreed to give her sometime to recover from her feigned sickness. Frank assured them not to worry because she was already making the Lilly move. They giggled happily. They decided to visit her after school. They parted ways to their respective departments when the lunch over siren sounded.
At the same time, the two house mistress of Akuffo house, Miss Anderson and Miss Naa Obieley entered the sick bay. They spotted a nurse and spoke to her. The nurse led them to the Out Patient Department to see Ewura Adwoa. Lying on the sick bed, they realised she was at peace. There were drips on her. From the Out Patient Department, they went to the doctor's office to find out what the problem was. The doctor disclosed that she suffered a severe abdominal pain. He advised them not to worry because she was responding to treatment. The two house mistress had wanted to involve Ewura Adwoa's parent but since the doctor assured them she was responding to treatment, they declined the decision. They left the doctor's office after he had assured them that there was a possibility of she being discharged that evening.
The doctor stared at the door for sometime when they left. He had wanted to disclosed to them the girl was involved in active sex as young as she was but felt it was her privacy. He decided to let the nurses advise Ewura Adwoa on how dangerous active sex was to her health as young as she was.
Star Boy, Ebenezer and Star boy were first to enter the sick bay when school closed. A nurse led them to the out patient department and left them with Ewura Adwoa. Ebenezer glanced around the O. P. D. It had only four hospital beds. Only two were occupied with sick student. Because the sick bay was small, there were no extra wards aside the male and female O. P. D where treatments were administered on sick students. Whenever there was a serious ailment that couldn't be treated at the sick bay, the student was rushed to the main hospital in the town which had more facilities.
Frank went closer to Ewura Adwoa's bed and when he realized the other patient was asleep, he lowered himself and whispered into the ears of sleeping young lady
"you know what? We are aware of the fact that you are pretending to be sick. Don't worry girl, we are giving you one full months... That is thirty days to recover and bounce back to life. If you try anything funny, you know what we will do..." he paused and pretended to pray for her when the nurse entered the ward. He said amen and the two guys responded. The nurse was touched with their action. She attended to the other lady and left the ward. The three guys giggled and left the ward.
Ewura Adwoa heard everything they said but pretended to be asleep. The medicine that was administered on her did a great job. She was stronger than ever but because of the three guys, she didn't want the nurses to know she was okay. She wished she could stay in the sick bay throughout the term. She was struck with fear knowing very well that she would definitely get back to the guys. It's a cross she had to carry to save herself and her education. Tears welled up in her eyes. She cleaned it with the back of her right palm. She heard footsteps and put herself together.
The nurse led Phidelia and a few seniors from Ewura Adwoa's dorm to the ward. Phidelia felt ashamed of herself when she saw her school daughter looking very pale on the sick bed. She realised Ewura Adwoa was indeed sick. She was wide awake when they entered. Phidelia asked her how she was doing and she told them she was getting better. The form three student that alerted everybody in the dorm about the situation inquired from Ewura Adwoa what happened to her the night before at the dorm.
"I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. It was an abnormal pain to me because I have never felt that pain in my abdomen before. Not even when I'm menstruating. It happened again and again. It got so severe that I felt my abdomen was being ripped apart. Instantly I felt torpid. I thought I was going to die because of the numbness I felt in my limbs. The only thing I had at that moment to attract attention was to groan. Thank God help came at last" she disclosed
Phidelia remembered her thoughts and actions when she heard Ewura Adwoa groaning. She felt guilty but thanked God in her heart that she was getting stronger. Her anger was rekindle towards the three guys. They had done enough harm to her school daughter and it was time for her to turn the tables on them. She felt it was an insult to femininity. The seniors assured Ewura Adwoa she would be fine and left the ward. Phidelia was discrete about what she knew.
The nurse sent Hajj, Lilly and Nana Ama to the ward a few minutes after the seniors had left. Ewura Adwoa was perplexed to see the three girls together knowing what had happened in the past. They sat beside her on the bed and asked her how she was doing. She told them she was fine.
"girls, I am very sorry for what happened in the past. I was blinded by love and material things but I am back to my senses now. Please forgive me for being hard on you when you tried to correct me" Ewura Adwoa said softly
"Ewura Adwoa, just chill. Don't waste your breathe on the past. We wouldn't be here if we still had the past at heart. We understand you are human. Who in these world doesn't know to err is human Huh? As for me, whether you like it or not, I am here for you. The fact that you have been bad to me doesn't erase the good girl I know you to be. Just relax okay" Lilly assured her. They all giggled
"Lilly is right. I still have what you did for me at heart. You saved me from a mess and because of that, my school mother had issues with you. I still love you as a friend. Your willingness to help people is outstanding. We are here for you girl. We will fight this ailment together" Hajj assured.
Ewura Adwoa smiled. A tear dropped from her eyes. She felt loved. At that moment, she felt like opening up to them what the three guys were putting her through but decided to do so when she was up and doing. They told her not to shed tears because they were there for her. They inquired of her what really was the problem. She disclosed to them how she almost died. They felt sorry for her.
They had a chit chat about everything and the three ladies left the sick bay. Ewura Adwoa felt happy and healthy when she realized her friends were back into her life. She was discharged that evening. Miss Anderson And Miss Naa Obieley had wanted her to spend a week with them in the quarters but she pleaded with them to let her stay with her friends in the dorm because it would make her recuperate faster. The two ladies reluctantly agreed to her plea. Had it not been Phidelia who promised to take good care of her, they wouldn't have agreed...Next episode
